This Rangers FC home jersey features a royal blue base with a subtle tonal checkered jacquard pattern throughout the fabric. It has a distinctive white V-neck collar accented with red and blue trim, a design mirrored on the sleeve cuffs. The shirt displays the embroidered club crest with five red stars above it, representing the club's achievement of winning over 50 league titles. It features the white Umbro diamond logo on the right chest and the 'Carling' sponsor logo in the center.The 2005-06 season was historically significant for Rangers FC as they became the first Scottish club to reach the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League in its current format, eventually being eliminated by Villarreal on away goals in the Round of 16. This was also the first season of the club's second partnership with kit manufacturer Umbro. Despite European success, the team struggled domestically, finishing third in the Scottish Premier League, which led to the departure of manager Alex McLeish at the end of the campaign.
